Vietnam eVisa: use the official portal

NVR Travels editorial · Sources checked 28 October 2026

Planning Vietnam? Start with the government eVisa portal, not a sponsored search result. Vietnam’s Embassy in India identifies evisa.gov.vn and thithucdientu.gov.vn as government-operated eVisa domains and warns travellers about other application websites.

The embassy’s guidance says eVisas can be issued for up to 90 days, for single or multiple entry. That is a maximum, not an automatic entitlement: the visa issued to you controls your permitted dates and entry type. Check both carefully.

Apply with accurate passport and trip details. Allow ample time for processing and possible corrections, and monitor your application status. An application receipt is not visa approval. Before travelling, check that the visa has been granted and your intended entry point is permitted.

Fees, eligibility and instructions can change. Confirm the latest details on the official portal when applying. Your travel advisor can help with the checklist, but approval rests with the issuing authority.
